Bond is losing the plot.
People expect certain things from a Bond film;
1. The bad guy has a large mansion that makes us drool.
2. The gadgets that Bond uses are amazing.
3. The car Bond drives is flashy.
4. The Bond girls are unusual and style icons.
5. The settings are glamoruous.
6. You can watch the films at Christmas with your kids.
There was no large bad guy mansion, no gadgets, the car and watch were obviously unconvincing product placements, the Bond girls were forgettable and ordinary and I wish I hadn't let my kids see it as it was far too violent and certainly not one for Christmas dinner viewing.
Add to that Sean Bean would have made a more realistic Bond and this was a flop. Maybe time to bring out Jane Bond?

Bond 22 (QoS) is a good film in som respects. It has a good cast, good actin sequences and is realistically made. However, it is let down in many ways as well.
Firstly, there is a huge lack of story, and secondly, the fast-paced action sequences are often too fast to focus. Also, near the end, the bad guy (missed his actual name) says something about Quantum. What the hell is Quantum?
So overall, fast paced and gritty but confusing and lacking in story.
